A great big headline to catch some attention

By ten o'clock the police organisation, and by midday even the railway organisations, were losing coherency, losing shape and efficiency, guttering, softening, running at last in that swift liquefaction of the social body.

About Me

A senior level IT generalist and SharePoint specialist. I have worked with a number of vertical markets in a variety of capacities. I’ve been a consultant, contractor, manager, and independent business owner. I’ve worked in e-commerce, marketing (b2b and b2c), insurance, insurance software, higher education advancement. I have acted as a project/program manager, systems architect, business analyst, and operations lead. I have driven process improvement, new systems roll outs, migrations & upgrades, and agent of change.

At the U of C, I performed strategic and tactical planning of IT resources supporting a multi-billion dollar development and alumni relations campaign. My primary project is the launch of a communication and collaboration SharePoint -based portal to span and support all development and alumni relations teams which requires working closely with constituents across disciplines.

Previously, I was the manager in the Marketing Technology team for the premier BtoB marketing and PR agency in Chicago. There I managed the marketing infrastructure operations, sat in on client pitches in the technology vertical and performed special projects for eBay and Orbitz. I completely overhauled the organizations entire IT implementation from desktop to server which involved deploying an Exchange/Active Directory system and bringing SharePoint Portal on as the company Intranet.

My experience before this is steeped in technology and communications and that is exactly where I see my career living. I consider myself a business technology professional rather than just a techie. To me business process, user centricity, and communication is where the true value is reached rather than a “technology for technology’s sake” approach.

Concentrating on how to foster collaboration and reduce any friction to it burgeoning is my daily goal. Therefore, I consider my role as being the sand in between the stones of an organization.
